Aliso Viejo is one of the youngest cities in Orange County - it was built as a planned community and only incorporated in 2001 - and almost the whole housing stock dates from the late 1980s through the 2000s. That makes the work here different from an older city. The stucco and trim are generally sound, so exteriors are usually a straight repaint rather than a repair job, and the kitchens are full of solid maple and alder doors that have never been refinished once.
Cabinet work is the common job here
A maple kitchen from 2002 is structurally fine and looks its age, which is the exact case refinishing is for - $225 to $300 per door, about $6,750 to $9,000 for a 30-door kitchen, against $15,000 and up to replace it.
